ARTISTI AT SCOPE BASEL
The invisible heroes Comenius Roethlisberger, Admir Jahic and Smash137, proved again, that art can be cheap. Not cheap in its meaning, but in the sense of afforting it. Inspired by the pannini football stickers, they've stolen the originallayout and the logos of the euro2008 soccer event and created their own collection. The footballplayers are the artist
The referees are the kurators and
The arenas are museums
At first sight it just seems to be a funny work, on the second look one thinks about the values, money-transfers and vitamin B between the gallerists and the artist. It's absurd, but football is one to one the same business like the art-business (but football is very much comparable to the art-business).
90 stickers to collect to fulfill the artwork. The poster 70cm x 100cm in a edition of 100. One package costs 2.50.-, buying 10 packages and you get the signed poster for free. With a budget of 100 swiss francs and a lot of trading the poster was full.
Finally, there were some scope hours in the morning where gallerists looked kind of bored. So with the "collecting and trading artists" the action got
into a interactive human sculpture. The sculpture reached many gallerists at the scope, art and the single project.
The quickest collector which finished the poster was the gallery Schuster from Berlin!
10 minutes later on place 2 the gallery Roemerapotheke from Zurich!
The spanish team did win the europeanARTISTIcup, viva picasso.
For all the collectors which couldn't finish the poster on time, you can make your order on ado@invisibleheroes.net we send you the missing stickers in a envelope and you send us the cash.
